Abstract (Max 200 words)
Purpose: To determine the outcomes of Femtosecond Thin-flap LASIK for the correction of refractive Error after Penetrating Keratoplasty due to KCN
Methods: In prospective study, 23 eyes of 21 patients underwent Femtosecond Thin-flap LASIK after Penetrating Keratoplasty due to KCN( 52.6 ± 41.4 months, rang: 22 to 67 months) . Ophthalmic examination was done before surgery and outcomes was reported after 22.4 ± 12.7 months of follow up ( rang : 13 to 29 months)
Results: No significant complication occurred. The mean preoperative myopia decreased from 1.89- ±1.08D to 0.06 ± 0.84D, and mean preoperative hyperopia decreased from 3.00±1.7D to -0.25±0.61D, Mean preoperative astigmatism decreased from -5.58±1.5D to -1.61±0.64D after 22.4 ± 12.7 months of follow up ( rang: 13 to 29 months).The Efficacy index (UCVA postoperatively/BCVA preoperatively) was 1.05 and the Safety index(BCVA postoperatively/BCVA preoperatively) was 0.63
Conclusion: Femtosecond Thin-flap LASIK is effective, safe and predictable procedure for correction of refractive error after Penetrating Keratoplasty due to KCN
